Abstract:

Background
Edentulism, particularly in resource-limited regions, presents significant functional and psychological challenges. Full-mouth rehabilitation using a combination of implant-supported prostheses and retained natural teeth offers a practical and innovative solution, minimizing surgical complexity and preserving natural structures. This case report demonstrates the successful application of such a hybrid approach in a challenging clinical context.

Case Presentation
A 65-year-old male with complete maxillary edentulism and partial mandibular edentulism underwent full-mouth rehabilitation. The treatment involved placing eight implants in the maxillary arch and two implants in the mandibular arch, complemented by root canal therapy and post-core preparation for six natural mandibular teeth. Advanced imaging and digital planning technologies facilitated precise implant placement and prosthetic design. The hybrid approach preserved the mandibular teeth, providing additional support for the prosthesis and optimizing functional and aesthetic outcomes.

Results
The final restoration achieved successful osseointegration and provided a stable, durable, and aesthetically pleasing outcome. The patient reported improved oral functionality and quality of life during follow-up assessments. This case highlights the clinical feasibility of combining natural teeth with implant-supported prostheses, particularly in regions where extensive surgical interventions may be impractical or inaccessible.

Conclusion
This case underscores the potential of hybrid treatment strategies to address complex edentulism by integrating natural teeth and implants, leveraging advanced technologies, and adapting to resource-limited settings. It highlights the importance of personalized treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration, providing valuable insights for clinicians seeking innovative and cost-effective solutions for full-mouth rehabilitation.
